You'll monitor inventory, choose which goods to stock and strive to avoid losses from idle shelves or poor pricing strategy.
Special attention is given to managing staff and interacting with customers: you'll hire employees, assign them to departments, train and motivate them, and also keep an eye on checkout queues, store cleanliness and customer satisfaction – as dissatisfied shoppers will quickly find a different store.
As your business grows, you'll have the opportunity to expand the supermarket floor‑space, add new departments, refresh the interior, implement new services and design choices, turning a small store into a modern retail network capable of competing with market leaders.
